Algonquin Books publishes literary fiction and nonfiction. We don’t publish poetry or genre fiction (romance, science fiction, etc.). In late 2013 Algonquin Books for Young Readers will begin publishing literary fiction and a limited number of narrative non-fiction titles for middle grade and young adult readers.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept unsolicited manuscripts or any electronic submissions. We do accept queries and will contact you if we would like to see the full manuscript. Please note that we cannot take calls regarding the status of your submission.
